ej20h fuel pump question
i am putting a ej20tt into a 72 super beetle and i am woundering if i can just use any in line high pressure fuel pump or does it have to be some
subaru fuel pump

Any high pressure EFI pump should do the trick..the fuel pressure regulator will take care of the pressure.As long as the pump flows enough to feed
the turbos.

Yeah any high pressure pump will be fine. A lot of people (me included) use a vl turbo external fuel pump, because they are cheap, easy to get and do
the job. But it would be advised to get a surge tank as well, as any air in the fuel system can lead to destruction, esp in a turbo car if it runs
lean under high rpm and boost.

yeah, i use VL pumps for most of my conversions. the same pump is used in many other cars including Camira, injected XF Falcon, VN 5lt, etc. this
makes it easier to source a replacement if you
ever need one, as any auto-parts store should stock them.
plus I guarantee they'd be cheaper than a Subaru one
