I have some insights about your engine's problem.

Kung walang problem yung carb & coil mo, try to check your distributor's bolt maybe its loose.It happened to me weeks ago nung kinuha ko yung CB ko from the first owner. Yung cause nang problem, the distributor slightly jumps out of its slot which causes hardstarting and backfires. The orig. distributor doesnt have a gear in the end which mates with the cam shaft.

Assuming you still have the original motor.

MAGZRE asked me to post the attached pictures of his CB. This is another of those unusual vehicles that is numbered with a "CB" number and not a "KO" number. See the photo which clearly shows CB554. I am still unsure how or where this stamping occured but it sure looks original.
Maybe the Clayton factory started to number the LHD units that were exported but I have only seen numbers CB534 AND CB554.
Magzre has some major work to rebuild the side panels which had been cut down and you can see from one of the photos the work has commenced.
I am not sure how Graham will classify this number on the Gallery.
