Drop Spindles
Good Evening,
It has been a long time since I participated in the forum.
I am getting my 1966 Beetle back on the road, and I have a question regarding Drop Spindles.
I have looked over past threads on Drop Spindles, but they didn't answer my question...
What drop Spindles do I require?
My car: 1966 De Luxe, born in Clayton, Victoria.
Front end - lowered a couple inches via AVS adjusters - top & bottom.
Link pin front end.
Shocks - ancient KYBs, circa 1992.
Brakes - disc brakes/Porsche pattern.
Wheels - ugly 15x6 Cookie Cutters.
Tyres - 185x60 Yokahama C's
I intend to change the wheels & shocks to:
Wheels - 5.5 Fuch Flat 4 replicas.
Shocks - KYB gassers.
The tyres will remain the same - 185x60.
I am aware that Drop Spindles will widen the track by around a 1/2 inch either side.
What Drop spindles do I require?
Is there a difference between King pin & Link pin?
RE: the CB performance site only mentions King pin.
I will contact the local shops, but I wanna have some knowledge before hand.
Thanks,
Zaius

'King pin' & 'Link pin' refer to the same front suspension..........................so on the CB site its King Pin you're after.
