Looks awesome mate how long have u had it and how much did u pay.

Dont know about being an option - they are called Flashes I think?

I wouldnt mind getting one on mine, does anyone know where i can get one.

Now all u need is some whitewalls to set it off

Looks nice - Costa...........

green, they are called i think australian flash kits, they come in a fair few different styles, i belive that some were manifactured for dealerships but i think some might have been factory also. who ever made them they are a period accessory.
some came with ribbed aluminium sheets that fitted inbetween the chrome strips, nifty.

found in a shed in tumberrumba about 6 months ago, this one and a 58 for $500,

the shell number tells me it's a 57(its at home i'll post and get someone to confirm the year) , had popouts and has had blinkers whacked over them, has a 6v radio (not sure if it works as i need to get my hands on a battery),

once complete will definitely be slammed with whitewalls!.. :D:D:D

it was used by the owners kids to drive to the school bus everyday, the dirveway was about 3km long.. so the inside is a little ratty,

the kids moved out about 15yr ago, so they drove it into the shed and left it sit, it did come with a family of creatures in the firewall..

i will post some more pics when i get a camera.

i think $500 was fair, its good that it came with a doner car.

Nice pick up. Bargain for 500 notes. The early 57 year big window cars are collectors cars in my opinion. Be interesting to know what month it was built. :thumb

have a look at the back of the speedo, they are all dated, if it is the origional speedo it will give you a fair idea of what month the car was made in.

The white with red flash car was bought new in April 1960 - one of the last ones with semaphores. This is a pic of it when it was new.

I have a table that says the following for chassis numbers:

12/1957 1 775 680
12/1958 2 226 206

Great score, green. It looks like it has some great potential. That flash really makes it even more desirable, in my opinion. :thumb:thumb
