Fibreglass roof for the Country Buggy

I was reading that there was an optional fibreglass roof for the country buggies when they were first released.

Does anyone have a picture of what they looked like (up close), and pictures showing how they were fitted.

And is anyone on this list making reproduction fibreglass roofs?

Or, does anyone have one for sale?

Regards
Paul

Paul,
Here are some pics I have saved to file.
The first is a fiberglass top fitted to a Sakbayan.
The rest are fitted on CB's.
Unfortunately, none are close ups of attachment fittings.

Hi Terry,

Hey thanks for the reply. From what I've been told, I don't expect to find a roof now, but if you do happen to hear of one for sale could you let me know.

Thanks
Paul

Pault,

I, too, wanted a fibreglass roof to replace the tatty vinyl roof on my cb.

I know Alec Brown, in Toowoomba, has a loan of an original fibreglass roof with the intention of taking moulds and make copies - I'm not sure what stage that project is at.

Alec is a regular on here using kombisaint.

Good luck

cb roof

I have done a few molds and made some parts recently with f/glass so if you get one I would be keen to make a plug.. but of course we have to get one first, so consider me a starter for the project.
