Painting a pop-top.. any advice?

Fibreglass pop-top needs repainting... looking v tired!
Is this something that it's best to leave to the professionals - if so, any recommendations on someone good and reasonably priced? Someone suggested a boat yard (used to dealing with fibreglass)?
If not, any advice on how to go about it? Two-pak or not two-pak? How best to clean and prep, then apply?
Any advice appreciated! Thanks DJ

Thanks Peter, some useful guidelines and gives me an idea of the scale of the job - a bit more involved than I thought!
