I used a VN Comadore one but it was a slow rack.
I have heard about Golfs, so that might be better.

If you are building a super bug then the easiest option is to just get a 75 L Bug front end graft the factory R & P out of it. ratios seem fine.

Hi Adam
I retrofitted a rack into my old Superbug. If you have questions about fitting it give let me know.
You wont have to worry about the VW rack being too slow, they are so direct that you will need to learn to drive the car again. Some argue that a
steering box is just as good, but a steering box gets play in it when you get off centre, a rack doesn't. Play doesn't affect you too much on the
street but at speed, undulations or bumps in a corner can force back through the steering acting on up the play and giving unwanted movement in the
steering angle.
One problem that the racks do have is no steering lock stops, they can be fitted if you need them.
Good move going L bug, you find they are much more slippery at speed, ask Big Rudi what he's found.
May the struts be with you, Steve
