Love to see that. Grew up in an area that had one set up as a mobile shop/ice cream truck. Don't know if it was the vendor spec or if that was added in. Some good memories there.

Making one from scratch should be no trouble for you, once you have an Single cab to start with....even more area of flat panels to build but easier than a CB:lol:

Regards,

Matt.

John,
That top looks pretty nice.
Tell us about the details.....
Did you fabricate the top frame? If not, who did?
Who stitched up the top for you?
Did they install it or did you?
How long did it take to fabricate the top frame and top?
How did all that go......fairly smoothly, or was it a pain in the arse?

Regards,
Steve

Steve, it all went pretty much without any trouble...I did get a good reference on one young trimmer, talked to him, he was keen and I was pressed to have it done quickly. Quoted cca 1500 and did it in a day...
The frame, front and rear brackets I've made myself. I took it to the shop on thursday afternoon and picked up all finished and installed on saturday morning....the side covers are yet to come...thats about all...

Had the thing wound out yet to really see what she's capable of???
Since your CB is set up for the street, I suspect you have tweaked that stock suspension a bit........not that anyone else would know......until they can't stay with you in a corner.

Steve, I did not reach the stage of tweaking up and I'm not sure if I will...handles very vell, no difference to IRS / balljoint bug, it seems to be much lighter and 1600 single port moves it fairly quick...I took it up to 140 km briefly / not too many points left  / and I am pleased with handling and performance. What I dislike is a sound of split exhaust system, but it would be caused by the fact, that you hear every sound differently, since the car is open and you really hear everything...

After seeing all the work you have done on this I can't wait to see you take on the the container van.
