work in progress Once was a beetle

this is my step Dad's car he has pretty well fabricated this from scrap. He has been working on this for about 5 years or more.
Even bent the extractors with a pipe bender he made. The guy buys nothing

Yes it is in metal,
I will see if I can find progress shots.
It is meant to be like a ford willy coupe, I believe the only part of the beetle that is untouched is the rear quarter panels. Dash and instruments will all be beetle.
My step Dad is very clever when it comes to fabricating things, like i said he makes everything from scratch even some of the tools required.
He is currently working on the interior so will get some shots next time I'm out there.

Great talent, BUT why waist the talent trying to duplicate something that has been done. Make something you can call your own design and that will really show your engineering and fabrications skills.

What's the configuration of it now if it's sitting on a Luv pan? Is the only VW left the main body? Front engined, rear petrol tank setup?
