New to VW's

hey,

I've got a VW lying around at home and i know NOTHING about it at all. Thought I'd join this forum to learn more and hopefully rebuild the car.

Here are some pictures of the car:

If you can help me identify the model etc. it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Looks to me like a '71 Superbug. Also known as 1302.

If it's all standard (and it looks like it is) it has: 1600cc engine, strut front end, swing axle rear. Some one might be able to tell from the engine number if is original.

Good luck with it. :tu: :)

Welcome to the forum tim.
What part of NSW are you from?
1 Thing to look out for with the supers is the rust in the rear pillars.
Where the grey primer is just past the window vents.
They rust out there in nearly all supers.
