compressor wont come on


I have a 3 cylinder mc millan compressor its about 15 -20 years old it doesnt come on anymore anyhting I could check before I take it somewhere?

Check reset if it has one. Look on the control box.

Good unit and definitely worth repairing. Mine is 14 years old and still going after a few hundred resprays

is the switch on ?

Is there presure in the tank ?

its turned on theres power at the power point the tank is definately empty ive tried manually throwing the on/off switch. do they have a internal fuse?

I don;'t know of the unit

but it will have a high pressure cut off switch
and a low pressure cut in switch

[maybe the same switch??]

it also should have a cutout/overload switch

You just need to find it..

my father who bought it new before giving it to me had a look at it today and found the overload switch on the electric motor. He said it happened to him once when he owned it. It was painted over so I didnt see it thankfully it was something simple

It's probabley trying to tell you it wants a service ie new brushs mabey and a good blowout , the electric motor that is
