I just got a price from him, Douglas W Fuller (Dbug41) ($300 + $467 shipping = $775).
How does that compair with yours, the freight ridiculous?

Can't believe no one else put their hand up.

But seriously I just built and had engineered a Range rover based Buggy

And then helped a mate put a Lexus V8 into a Toyota Surf with a 6 inch lift..all engineered.

Then the testing, my mate took it real easy, then I drove it like I stole it..wheelspin in 3rd on dry bitumen!!
The cars are still alive so I am a qualified test driver!!
Nice work by the way!

P.S The build is on hold at the moment as I am waiting for other people to Make some parts. Namely the roll bar and door gussets, as I don't have a pipe bender on rolling machine.

Not that I'm being critical (far from it the build looks great and I have a huge admiration for anyone who can build this kind of thing), but I have to point out that if you have access to all the right equipment and a fully equipped workshop, a budget of $3k is possibly achieveable, however if you are a home builder who needs to outsource body and fabrication of the custom body parts, the budget would be a lot higher. Plus depending on the state the approvals and engineering would be a considerable portion of that budget.

Hi there Renebugrod,

Great build mate !!!! Very cool indeed.....

I have a question for you though in regards to your floorpans..... On the drivers side did you buy a half pan or a full pan and cut down to size ??? If it was a half pan where did you order it from ???

Thanks in advance

Hi All,

Been 10 years since I sold this unfinished rod. I have been wanting to buy her back for some time now and blow me down I found her in a barn, sitting, waiting to be finished.

Anyway, bought her back and now ready to get her on the road.

Stay posted

Picking up the girl in a few weeks.

Might leave the paint and use something to protect it.
ANy ideas on a good sealant? (ankorwax, penetrol?)
