Looks like you're going great guns Dan.
Rear apron has come up a treat. After the A pillars are done, is there much more body work to go before paint?
Must catch up some time
Cheers,
Greg

just the A pillars to do, then that's it for welding.
Being held up by them.
will be getting stuck into the sanding, and hopefully get it sent of for paint before the end of the school holiays, if I can get hold of some door pillar sections.

well, a suitable replacement bonnet proved too difficult to find, so the decision was made to repair the original one. At least that's one more original part on the car.

Hey Dan,
Can you send me the details back for the guy with the other bonnet. I might need another. Car is looking good.
Do you think it might be done to roll down to VW show as a unfinished project.

Bonnet looks heaps better than it did. But now with all that extra steel on the car it will be slower!! You had speed holes before!!

Hey Dan,
How's it coming along. Any more progress?
Did you get the bonnet from QLD on ebay? It looked good I just couldn't get it here.

it did have a tap in the front at one stage, and another front apron had been welded straight over the top of the old one. A double skin of sorts.
Prob why the bonnet gap was never perfect.
That has all been cut off and straightened out and the old apron replaced with a new front apron

Cool going Dan, Is it still for sale or a keeper now?
When does it go to colour. I wish AE would do mine.
