Love the car chase in that movie - it's THE car chase, and has soo many Beetles in the background.

Though the Blues Brothers chases are still my favs - soo ridiculous.

Awesome still shot there, a little too much editing in the chase scene but nontheless a cool flick. I've driven those streets many times and although
a '66 type 3 square with 65 stonking horse power is no Charger, it certainly makes the knucles white when negotiating San Franciscos wonderfully
hilly streets

Just some interesting things to look for in the chase sequence..
- Count how many hubcaps fly off the Chrysler and on which tyres.
- Count how many times the green beetle is spotted being passed by the 2 cars (obviously the driver knows some handy shortcuts!).

My fave is when the Chrysler looses it on a bend and rams the camera....
- Adam

Has anyone else spotted some anonomlys in the clip?? (sorrry I carnt spell).

There's a story behind that dunebuggy you know. Apparently the producers asked porsche for an engine. Porsche refused, something about not wanting to
sulley themselves with some cheap hollywood thriller, so Steve had to use a corvair engine. Then Porsche found out it was for Steve McQueen. They went
nuts and offered a whole bunch of stuff...but it was too late.

Ahah, I wondered why that buggy had a corvair motor and not porsche given the Steve McQueen connection
