58 tail light question

Hi all just about to get my much loved 58 back on the road, and yes its all original, crash box, 36hp, semaphores etc etc.

the question I have is, does anyone know exactly where the rear tail lights go, it had some 64 tail lights on it when i bought it and now I want to replace them with original ones.

Is there a website with measurements or does anyone have an original one they could measure for me.

There is nothing worse than tail lights that have been put in the wrong spot!!!!

are they the original gaurds?
if they are they may have just used the original holes
snowflakes were mounted alot lower than the 60s light u will be able to tell if there in the right spot or not

heres a goonies bug i spotted on ebay
u can see the right tail light is in the 50s snowflake positon and the left is in the normal spot for 60s lights
i got no idea if the bolt pattern is the same tho
someone else will have to chime in on that one

Yeah original guards they don't look they have been cut apart or redrilled I might just put the snowflakes on and have alook to see if they look right in the holes that are there...
