Most favourite VW of all time POLL

Choose a category and then send a post saying exactly which model e.g.

Split Bus :1963 23 Window Samba

You could go on to say why!

Should be interesting to see how this turns out. Its a shame that I carn't put more than ten answers down as my list would be nearer twenty odd

Have to be a 54 Rag Top for me. Would have to be full of old speed gear on the 36hp motor. Wide 5 356 chromies with decent radials. Maico disc brakes, MotoMeter guages, Speedwell Wheel.
All chrome intact, in Grey or Black with flames.
Thats all.
Had a few Ovals over the years but never a real rag top.

obviously i voted my split bus...

but i appreciate all air-cooled vw's but have a special spot for the 6v's. the earlier models seem more rounded, minimal and smart.

Any Type: of air-cooled :)

I'm just fickled or plain easy

But the older ones definitely. Splitties, dual cabs or single, beetles, kombis, fastbacks, notches sqbacks

Dr L is not a sort after type 3 or year but I think he's cool for a '70 Type 3 sqback, and Bel the '58 isn't an oval but she's so sweet to me

There has to be something about a particular VW that makes me flip over it, it's the cars personality, it's style/character but not necessarily intended by the owner

Hmm, hope I didn't loose every one :sandrine

I love all of them too but it wouldn't make for an interesting poll, but hey why not list your next favourite models

mine would go like this : 57 rag cal looker, 63 23 window, 50s cab beetle, bay window bus camper.

Sorry that I didn't sqeeze in Kubels or swimmers into the poll anyway you carn't really see many of them around.

cheers nick

I am with Tazz on this one but i would sell it all for a sweet Fridolin or a split beetle and a 3 fold ragtop is a clsoe second with a samba coming in close behind.
All slammed and done justice !:bounce

I am with Tazz and Skewy on this one. Mine has to be a type 3. But im sorta picky, i like them to be pre 70 and slammed. Preference would be Square, Notch then Fasty. But hey a set of 5 spoke empi's always look good.... :)

fav vw

Its scary

If you asked me a year ago about type 3s I would not of taken a real intrest in them if i did have to chose it would of have to of been an early square but if you ask now I'd be swinging towards an early notch which was one of my least liked type 3s.

Scary how some cars get under your skin.

At the end of the day there all air cooled so who cares!!!!! :P

For me its the T3's i just like the way they look. Eaven the 70's cars are cool.
But if I had enough cash I would have a colection of all early model air-cooled VW's. I like ovals, splits karmans you name Id have it.
:kiss love em all
