it took 5 years to build , i had it on the road for about 3 months to test it before i stripped it again to get the body sprayed. which took another 6
months and that was finished in december of 2007. and ive been driving it ever since.
so all in all i've had it for quite some time now. just most of that time in the garage.
i really need a car with back seats for the kids. so its time to say goodbye to the bug. id love to keep it but finances wont permit.

Fair enough, at least you get your project finished before you sell them which is more than I can say for myself.
Good luck with the sale, you couldn't build one for that price.

umm , im confused. eat a 440 whats all that about ?
a bit off topic, but i went on a street cruise with the local rodders , at one of the set of lights this young fella in his charger s pack (the one
with the tripple webbers and the 4 speed) decided to give me a run for my money.
it caught me off guard, (i didnt think these guys would even care about going up against a little beach buggy )so wasnt preped for guning it , i was a
couple of seconds off on the reaction but the bug caught him in the first 30 meters and pulled away from his easily.
later on when we all stopped the guy came up to me and asked if it was turbo'd, i told him it wasn't , he was really pissed off. started swearing
and walked off.
lol
when the cruise had finished i started to drive home ,i pulled up along side a fully worked 440 charger at the lights that had been on the cruise, the
guy must of spent 20 grand easy just on the motor it sounded awsome.
i knew i didnt stand a chance in hell of ever beating this monster , but i just had to hear this machine sing off the lights so i nailed mine when the
lights went green, not to be out done he gave his full tilt and pulled about 4 car lenghts on the bug up to about 90kmh.
so the sumary is, no it dosnt eat worked 440's
possibly could keep up with a standard 440, i havn't tried
and im pretty sure it wouldn't keep up.
thats not to say i wouldn't step up to the plate if the situation arose.
stick a 2.5 sti in it and it most definatly would whip 440's.
