Need help fitting 'go fast' chip


Bought a chip for my T3 and cant work out how to plug it in..appreciate any help...Thanks

remove metal cover you will see it in side, take note of the notch in the end of the chip it must go in the same way as the old one

where did u buy the chip and how much was it ??

..thanks for the info ..was tempted to take of the metal cover but thought id better ask first!!!...the chip came from Vintage Vee Dub (where are you Dave aka VW54) ..cant tell you how much as i bought it secondhand (unused )

be very gentle when pushing it into the housing as the pins are fragile

Yep all good...might have a fuel regulator problem though as new Bosch pump is humming ..will get it tested .bloody VWs ..always something ..just finished fitting aircon ...what a job dash out etc ..also fitted stainless exhaust and dumped it 2 inches

you'll have to post some pics.

i've got the chip, rockers and exhaust on my 89 T3 manual. i was impatient and got the exhaust done at a local muffler place without much asking around. it seems to have improved flow, but the sound isn't so good. he also had to put a resonator on it.

i was giving it it's first real run on Mt Ousley and was pulled over by the highway patrol car.....he let me off on a lesser charge....i think because he thought his speed camera must've been reading incorrectly as he seemed taken a back that a kombi was doing such a speed....up-hill.

And where did you get the lowered springs from ?
