Is was a pretty common thing of the past overseas to drive or push the cars out onto the frozen lakes towards the end of winter and watch them sink as

a friend tried to drive his manx across the jardin river in flood, thought if he got a fast run, it would skim across. lucky his rope was tied to roll
bar so when he had to start swimmin he took rope in mouth n tied his  buggy  to a tree on the other side. so manxs dont float or his didnt. [made itinto overlander mag]
