Help...Windows XP not doing it's stuff!
Hi all,
Have a problem with my OS (XP Pro), every time I open a new link in Explorer, the new page opens but does not link to the new site/link.
I have gone into Explorer/tools/internet options/advanced. I have had a play around there for a solution....but no good!
Does any one out there have any ideas......other then going for "red hat" or another OS!
Hope to get a solution soon before I turn the whole system into wheel chock for my Kombi!
Cheers

Can you explain "New Link" do you get your home page ?
" Captain Picard, why are there no Indians on the Enterprise ? Don't you need IT Support ? "

Besides the simple things, like have you set a slow loading home page (I use about :blank), you might want to check a few things:
Have you installed any IE "helper" apps, like the Google toolbar, Acrobat, etc? These toolbars and helpers are notorious for causing IE to
hang.
I would suggest going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and see if
there's any patches for your browser. Apply any and all of them. May help.
If not, go to http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ and download the latest IE 6.0 SP1
setup.
