Early guards late body?
Can someone tell me if early 60's front guards fit straight onto a '68 beetle, or do they need to be altered. The lines look similar, but not fully
sure...

yes they fit but you will have to open the bumper bracket holes

Yes,
they just all bolt on the same
You will need to cut the bumper bar bracket hole in the fender
early bumpers can be fitted easily with made up brackets..
