The Worls Famous Boxrod for sale!!! Own a peice of history
Alright it's hard to do this but because of my current financial situation the Boxrod must go. Now is you chance to own one of the most well known
VWs of all time. A true hack job and an attention whore's wet dream. This bus is chopped 6 inches, dropped in the weeds, 80 inch rag top, and just
oozes KOOL. You can take this to ANY type of shop and it will draw an endless crowd. Some people love it, some hate it, but like a train wreck
everybody looks. If you have a business this thing is an awsome marketing tool. Put it on the street and it will cause accidents from all the
rubber-neckers.
Here's the skinny: Motor and supercharger have been removed and sold. I am currently building a stock 1600 for it. Transmission is a stock long axle a 5 inch tranny raise. The rear end still has the airbags in place but currently has the torsions
installed and rides on regular suspension with the airbags available to add extra cleasance if needed. o get it Front end is a stock bus beam without shock towers. The air suspension has been removed and rides on regular suspension. The beam has
been raised up into the frame approx 2 1/2 inched and has 3 1/2 inch Wolfgang spindles. I removed the helpers to get it lower.
Steering is handled by a rack-and-pinion unit welded to the front beam. The steering is super tight, but the turning radius is really
wide. If a larger rack was installed, you would get alot more turning radius out of it, but would have shorter tierods so maybe more bump steer. The
steering column is a Limeworks unit from a 32 Ford that connects to a Vanagon "transfer box" to a shaft that connects to the rack. The steering
wheel is a 17 inch sprint car style from Limeworks. The shifter has been moved between the seats and lengthened. Not the most comfortable but looks kool and creates comments. The shift
rod rides above the floor because of the tranny raise. The brakes are stock type 2 drums up front with new wheel cylinder and pads. They work great. The rear is a stock type 3 setup with
all new components. The master is a 66 and earlier unit. The wiring is minimal. An aftermarket fuse block from So.Cal Speedshop feed a master disconnect and only has a starter switch and
headlight switch. No turn signals, hazzards, dash wiring, but has the circuits on the fuse panel to add everything yo want to make it complete. The
battery has been mounted next to the tranny behind the torsion housing. Seats are from the Bass Pro Shops and are from a fishing boat, no back seat. The passenger needs to be a child or a midget. Midgets
are kool.
No windows at all, your deal.
Body modifcations are extensive and numerous. I will let the pictures do the talking. I have a ton of buildup phots and current photos on my gallery
.
The price: $15,000. A small price to pay for a piece of VW history and a world famous abomination. I will post more current pics soon. It's been
sitting for awhile and is really dirty and missing a couple things. I will work at getting it running, you work and cashing in your 401K. Call
702-491-5146. 24 hours available. Will consider a partial trade plus cash but need the majority of the deal in cash. Can deliver pretty much anywhere.
Call now or you'll be sorry.

My wife would be really impressed when she comes home to find I've done it again and bouught another perfectly useless vehicle, but I really like
sleeping inside,so I think I will let it go to someone whose wife has a sense of humour. Les
