G'Day all
Hi,
I'm in Newcastle NSW and this is my first beetle. I was given it from my Father-in law and would like to fix it up to show him that I could. not
much poking involverd in that. I have pressure cleaned it inside and out and it is in dyre need of the Flinstone cure and and engine thing to fix the
sezure it is suffering. it is a 64-66 Mod with an F-serise motor.
Is the 1640 the way to go straight up or do I fix it as a 1300 motor.
Leave it as a 6V or change it to 12V?
So many questions to have answered but this is always the fun i guess.
Havin heeps of fun

unless ur a die hard purist skip the 6volt system and convert it
batteries are hard to get and can be big $$, the headlights suck and starting is even worse
plus no decent audio
skip the 1640 and just stay 1600 the extra 56cc isnt worht the cost of machineing or the slip style for the loss of reliability
