I had been logged on last night, and today while I was at work I thought that I would have a quick look at the forum and my pass word didn't
work. I hit the "I forgot my pass word" button and had it e-mailed to me. It's different now, but it works OK. Is this something to do
with the security breach?

ok
That is because the cookie for your password was stored on your home PC. When you ask for password email you get a system generated one and a reset.
This is because the system stores encrypted passwords which mean nothing to most humans.
