1974 Dash removal

Hi All

Can someone please tell me how to remove a "rubber" dash from a 1974 Beetle.

Thanks

Hi

There was two different model bugs in 1974, one had a flat windscreen, the other curved windscreen, both have different dashes.

Hi

We were all learners once and we all come here to keep learning.

There is a series of self tapers around the edge,
there is 2 studs on the outer edge of the dash and nuts that you will find in the luggage compartment,
remove the speedo and surround, remove the glove box lid and plastic surround and the ashtray.

Leave the vents that face the windscreen in place for now and also remove headlight switch knob, it unscrews, the 2 air flow knobs just pull off,
also drop the steering column down by undoing the 2 bolts underneath.

Hope this helps
