australia used their own colours for a while but they were typically the same as US just with different names, like our Wattle was just texas yellow with a diffent name
so thats why u wont see any of ur colours on US or overseas colour charts

what colour is ur bug now?
has it had a colour change?

im a beleiver in the old if its still the original colour dont change it but if some PO has already changed the colour knock urself out

theres some real standout colours coming out on new cars now

Hi Joel. Original colour as per avatar pic other than guards being re-painted at some stage by original owner.I`m the 2nd owner. My local Peps made me some touch-up as well as a tin of pressure pak. Apparently Toyotas or Dattos used the same colour that year too. cheers

hey thugbug,

sorry for the late reply!
its a yellowy sort of mustard colour. and im pretty sure its original but i'm tossing up whether to give it a respray of a nice red or a sky blue.

Probably this colour - Martini Olive

There was a similar colour called Wattle

My opinion -

If the inside bits are OK then respray the outside
IT is SOOOO much easier (and cheaper) if you only have to spray the outside

Personally i prefer original colours
