ignition issues

Hi there,
A friend of mine told me her bug started to smell as though something was burning inside, which her mechanic diagnosed as being the ignition.
Just wondering, where around melbourne would be a good place to fine another one? I think it might be a 6volter also?
Thanks
Pete

Put a wanted post on here..
6 volt key switches are common..
Many people would have a good used one..
they are held in place by one screw...
under the dash...

New ones are available at all the VW shops that advertise in the VWA magazine..
Wolfsburg Automotive in Victoria is one...
or get one posted from Sydney or brisbane....
