Windage tray

I'm new to doing this!! Can anyone out there tell me where I can buy a windage tray for a 1600 motor. Have been trying since before Christmas to buy one from a well known supplier and I keep getting the runaround, promises or no reply at all. I don't want to miss another meeting so need help. Thanks, John

I had one in my 2110 T1, looked simple enough in design, flat piece of steel with a couple of folded lips on the end and holes drilled in the middle? could you not make or get one made? Most of them are cheap chinese products anyway, so I would imagine you couldnt make it any worse than the ones you buy.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply Paul, but with my metal working skills it would probably end up rattling around in the bottom of the case. Anyway it is something I might have to explore locally.

depends on how low your ride height is can buy radiused cover for it, my Lbug is low as still has150 ml clearance , an ocasional graze dosnt hurt as much as a stuffed crankshaft because youve sucked some air into your oil pump, been road racing for 5 years with this set up not 13 secsdown a strip or 45secs up a hill 15min sprints never had oil surge problem cheers Rudi
