Another nooby
Hey everyone.
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and decided to sign up since it shouldn't be too much longer before I get my first VW.
I'm 28 and live about half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I've always loved VWs but for some reason have never owned one. Not really sure
why that is but now is the time to make it happen. There has been plenty in my family with my dad owning two Kombis and three Beetles. My Oldest
sister had Beetle for her first car and my younger older sister has had two Beetles and a Kombi camper which she kept for about ten years. So now I
figured it's my turn to get one for myself.
I have my eye on a 66 Bug. The models around that time are the ones I really prefer. I think if this one's as good as the ad says it is and as good
as the owner tells me it is over the phone (which I would never believe though he does sound fairly genuine) then I am pretty confident that it will
be the one. All original but just in really good shape which is how I like them. I wish I could see it sooner but will have to wait until the weekend
because it's an hour and a half away so it's a bit of a drive.
Anyway gonna shut up now and start posting around the place. Would be awesome to meet some people from here once I get my bug. Looking forward to
getting back into the cruising scene.
