The guards just bolted on...
I had to drill new holes to mount the bumper onto the car
I also used the 1302S bumper brackets...
LEE
I do have a photo of the brackets bolted to the body
I'll see if I can find it.... Lee

Hi
What colour are your bumper brackets Lee?
Actually all rear bug guards are interchangeable.

awww now i feel special
would u trust someone whose native american name is drunk crawling??
i only know cos 15 years of owning several S and Lbugs and swapping bits around proved it fits
same with the front and rear bumpers too
with the exception of the late75-76 front bumper all others are the same
they just have 2 lots of mounting holes one for supers and other for standards
the front bumper on my Lbug at the moment is the original one off my red 75 standard

i spend enough time driving on tractor front ends at work
i'll stick to my 'pherso front ends, same as most of the manufactures have been doing for the last 20-30 years
my Lbug still outhandled my black 1500 bug despite only having less than half the money spent on the front end
