DBA slotted rotors and pads? or upgrade the lot?
Hey there. Brakes. What is a cost effective way to improve stopping power without going too nuts. If I get pedantic I will be putting a whole new
kit, rear disks and Fuchs on - but I have to stay rational! Or maybe I shouldn't.
I have standard front disks with braided lines now and drums on behind - any suggestions? Anyone used the DBA slotted rotors and a pad to suit?

yeah - i used the slotted
They are good but you need to work then in that the bearing cup doesnt sit righ / isnt machined right
From memory it was the inner cup that needed 60 thou machined out to stop the brakes fouling on the disc
Unless you go BIG motor or want "the look" just stay stock with Porsche pattern
Type 3 rear drums are bigger and good
V Force do a Boxster upgrade that isnt expensive is you want look AND upgrade
These pics are Kombi but they do beetle as well

My bug is 69 IRS, beam balljoint front end.
The DBS catalogue at Repco had the rotors listed but for 67 1500 - but when I go on the web they don't have a solution listed.
