semaphore question


hi guys,
just wondering why when i flick my left semaphore the light in the speedo wont light as when i flick the right one it does...any ideas????

Pull the semaphore out of the car.

Theres a contact metal strip where the solenoid pin touches when the arm is extended.

the pin is attached to the solenoid that goes through the coil. when current is applied in pulls the solenoid through and makes contact.

It has a wire going to it, it may be worn or the contact pin is missing, or the wire has come off, or terminal may be broken.

Its only a fine piece of metal strip.
