Failed my master yet again
Hey, how was your day??
Anything unusual happen or funny?:bounce
I was sitting on my crowded train and just getting into my free newspaper when I heard the first note of a Japenese flute or Shakuhachi. I thought
someone had forgot to put their ear plugs in but no it was a young guy playing Zen flute music on a bass recorder.
Well I used to be and still am into that stuff sometimes if I'm feeling in the need for stillness of mind, relaxation and meditation (I'm a
failure at it).
For some reason I started to get the giggles quietly to myself. The poor guy was so serious and possibly thought he was doing us all a favour. I
couldn't help it because I looked at the faces and reactions of the people around me:o
I tried to concentrate on the gossip in the paper, to close my mind to distractions around me but I was bitting my lip all the way home. At one stage
I thought he was going to go all the way to my station because he had targetted me as the one most in need of help:jesus
Luckily he got off 3 before me.
The guy opposite, who was pulling funny looks on his face when he first sat down and eyed our flute player, by this stage was in a blissful state of
rest, eyes closed and his 'free' newspaper resting gently on his brief case.
I felt guilty (well sort of) that I hadn't been able to still my thoughts and do the same but hey it was nice to travel home with a smile on my
face
I was a failed Zen monk in a past life and still haven't learnt. Looks like I'll be back:jesus

Only clown that atracted my attention on the train to work was a guy trying to be the big business man, very loudly on his mobile.
I asked him if his office had burned down last night & if his phone warrenty covered my shoving it up his arse.
He took the hint......bright lad......
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

In the interests of hygiene, I hope you had a pair of surgical gloves to put on before you perfomed that procedure!

The only way I survive 5 hours commuting a day is to sleep most of it Dave.
Mobile phones are the bane of the long haul commuter. Mine is switched off til I get where I'm going.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

LOL
Had a friend who once took off his shoe pretending to answer the phone in a similar situation, sitting next to someone like that:o
Hey had a producer for ABC 's 'MDA' series came in yesterday to ask if they can use our power and set up a monitor cos they want to
shoot a scene out in Hardware Lane opposite our shop. I asked if they wanted extra's or if we could hang out the door and say hi to our folks and
friends at home:P
We have a very bright orange dragon suit for promotions. If you see it coming along a very trendy little lane behind two of the characters in an
episode it may be me getting in on the act
Hmmmm, I'm not too sure how he took my humour??? They may decide to change location
Well I had a laugh anyway:party |

How was your day -
I've found I'm a better teacher of History than I am of Geography. A bitter sweet feeling since I just spent four years learning how to
teach Geography ( A passion equal to VW's) and the last six months learning how to teach History.
In year ten here they spend 14 weeks doing Geography and 14 doing History. That makes up the HSIE (Social Sciences) Mark for the year. This kids must
have had a good history teacher last year as they were really riveted to the topic all last week. Were have just started Australia in WWII. Much more
contemporary and easy to teach. Took in all my Military stuff and let them try it on - 25kg backpack etc. Told heaps of stories. No weapons though -
dont have any of course.

He had a keen student at Kotara.
Had to feel sorry for Damien. Must be painful when one of your teachers regularly drops in for a beer with your old man.
Still, kept him honest I suppose.....
As for the 5 hours Shani, as I said I sleep most of the time.
One of the perks of being a train driver is I get a free ride.
The other is the perve........

hey Jen
i am in the army and my job is to pack and take care of parachutes. they make us jump our own parachutes as a way of quality control. so if it
doesn't open you have no one to blame.
pretty good job actually. just hurts when you land.

Cool
I was talking to some people today about skydiving.
I hate heights but would love to try it, just not sure if I'd be still alive by the time I reach the ground due to shock/heart failure or
something:jesus
Hey I went up in a hot air balloon last year and loved it, and I get a big buzz in aeroplanes. I think once I'd done it I'd be hooked.
So how many jumps do you have to do per number of pack for quality control?
Know a Vee Dubber here in Melbourne who used to jump for the army so I've heard a bit about it. Hey civilians pay big dollars for the
privilege

Yeah - Keen students are cool. Never had that happen before. It was like an eclipse. Totally unexplainable!
Hope a better week rolls out for you this week mate.

Last week was good, just funny sorta and busy. Had to post about the Japanese flute guy because it was a very unusual event and was wondered what was
happening for others
The week really didn't end cos I've worked 7 dyas straight and have anopther 6 to go before I get a day off and then I'm doing a day
tour to the snow for work, a freebee.
Have to catch the bus at 4 am next Sunday
I have been assured there are open fires and good bars but I guess I should check out the snow a little while I'm there
Well got to taste some wines while I worked today which was a nice bonus:beer
