TRAKKA

i know i have asked before, but with all the new people joining the forum i thought it would be worth asking again. does anyone know anything (beside the website) about Trakka conversions? i am especially interested in the rally camper that they reportedly did too.

thanks

For which Kombi? T2 or T3?

I have some Trakka brochures at home for both models of Kombis. Trakka wasn't a popular converter of pre '79 Kombis, as companies like Sopru, Swagman and SunCamper had the market then. Trakka was called TrakkaVan in those days.

When the square T3 Kombi was introduced in 1982, Trakka became LNC's official camper van converter in Australia, a position they have maintained to this day. Trakka themselves keep no information on old conversions; today they are not interested in anything except the current front-engined T4 VW van. They can no longer convert old Kombis.

I haven't seen a 'Rallt' conversion, but the main conversion of the old T2 Kombi was the Trakka Bronco.
