QRDC Lakeside 11/12th July

Hi Guys,

Did anyone on the forum attend last weekend's QRDC round at Lakeside and take photos of the Formula Vee racing? If so could they please contact me via email: editor@vwma.net.au with any images that you may have.

Cheers

More like turn-in, slide, photo, correct, photo, slide, guess the apex.

Had a great time. On Saturday I spent the time learning the car, the track and my rear view mirrors. I was fairly nervous. Finished the day with a best of 1.09 flat, but still 7 seconds off the pace. Car was sliding and hopping under power through the corners. I finished overall 13 out of 18 cars.

Sunday morning I spent an hour or so learning the finer points of re-adjusting the suspension, picking the brains of some veteran Vee drivers, stealing a few braking tips and generally getting the inside goss. Finished the day with a best of 1.06.42, and was running mid-field. I was also passing other Vees rather than being passed.

I'm stoked. I can actually drive the thing.
