Chase up back issues of "Performance Buildups," they have done an excellent series on this, including a lot of stuff on composite materials (Kevlar, Carbon Fibre, etc.)

Performance Buildups

The second installment in the Composite Materials series is found in Performance Buildups Vol 12 No 2, which I bought this year, so it may still be on the stands.

Circulation enquiries; contact the Sydney Head Office on (02) 9805 0399.

Is it worth the trouble? Yes!!! I will second the notion that these articles are nothing short of excellent! :)
