Speed Sensor for 74 Std 1300 Beetle
Hi guys I have a 74 1300 Standard beetle that I'm restoring/doing up and I've decided I want to fit an aftermarket Speedo into it (Speco) but I need
a speed sensor for it and was wondering if anyone from here might be able to help me as to where I could get one etc?
Cheers,
Nathan.

Hey guys sorry for the delay in getting back with the info I got from Namiis, I was working the last 2 weeks straight.
I went to them with my new speedo and asked the questions and in response they suggested using a GPS Speed Sender Unit with use's a GPS signal
recived via an antenna placed in an unnoticable spot and goes into a little unit mounted under or behind the dash which in turn sends out pulses to
the speedo giving you your speed. After reading the instructions they appear to be easy enough to setup and calibrate.
They are abit expensive but well worth the money in the long run seeing as adapters only last a couple of years at the best and they have had nothing
but great comments on these GPS units.
I'll let you all know how this works out over the next month or two when I install everything.
Cheers,
Nathan.
