Whats involved in baja-ing a kombi?

Whats involved in baja-ing a kombi? Is it just a case of lifting the torsion bars up and bigger wheels/tyres?

Well

I started to play with these things a few years back but decided they sucked compared to a Buggy, then gain most things do. The big problem with them was power and gearing, both of which can be fixed though. Now I am looking at a type 3 but it weights as much as a damn kombi so that idea is falling by the way side pretty quickly.... what was I talking about again ??? oh yeah baja buses. Anyway the front ends are the other thing to look at, crank the rear and cut out the guards but up front there is a few other issues.

Anyway check out LIFTING KOMBI FRONT END

This is the page I started back whenever

Hope it helps
