There's already a world wide register for convertibles on the Typ15.com website. Have a look at that to get an idea of how complex this could get.
BTW I have no idea how easy/hard it would be 'cos to me with my knowledge of computers and setting up websites it would be all be too hard!! Anyway
it's set up with in numerical order with all cars in their years of manufacture. Strange coincidence though as a friend asked me about how to
register her beetle on a registry less than a week ago!?
