Pretty much ready for tomorrow only a few small jobs left. Had engine out for some small repairs and a tidy up.. Track report later tomorrow, had a
play with the line lock tonight and works a treat : )

Good to see how well you went yesterday. Made me stay till 11.14pm (ok did not make me stay I was just enjoying watching your runs right through to
the final). A pleasure to meet you and you certainly impressed the folk around me in the stands.

Hello to all I come bearing good news, First would like to say thanks to' handycam' and 'Jonny b ' for chatting with me last night will have to
catch up at some stage for some VW DNM's ha ha... hope you enjoyed the show!!!
anyways rolled the car off the trailer early about lunch time temps were ok for tassy standards, first run off the trailer..
Reaction / sixty / E.T. / MPH
*1 / .499 / 1.86 / 13.45 / 97.40 pb
*2 / .632 / 1.78 / 13.32 / 98.25 pb
*3 / .487 / 1.70 / 13.43 / 80.79 hard on brakes as to not brake out!! felt real good!!
*4 / .430 / 1.77 / 13.47 / error they had troubles with timing gear all night!! : (
*5 / .577 / 1.75 / 13.37 / error
*6 / .775 / 1.80 / 13.40 / 96.57 bye run prior to final..
*7 / .506 / 1.77 / 13.43 / error lost final by .022 ....... had a ball..
so there are the results for the night. Was a late one but loved every minute of it, only small issues come out from the night so very happy..
also forgot to mention my soon to be wife hit the track for the first time and i think she may be hooked now!!!
best move i could have ever made i think... ha ha

ha ha i think i can see slight amounts of fear in her eyes? ha ha she assures me it wasnt!!

yeah cant wait to catch up reub!!
The slicks worked out really well dave was very happy. Um what would you consider to be a good oil pressure? I had my oil pressure drop a little it
was around 50 psi i think at the end of my last run but i think it sat higher than that before. I have change my oil from 10w 60 to 25w 50
its synthetic castrol stuff any info would be appreciated

Hi all
quick update, Missed out on round three last night due partly to my current un-employment and subsequent lack of funds. ha ha On a lighter
note I have the bug
pretty much back to road rego standards. Will be at the Tassy Power cruise next weekend where I will compete in the 1/8 mile drags, power skid and
might even have a crack at the burnout comp. Will post up footage and photos next weekend..

what a great weekend had a ball... went in powerskid for a laugh and also got through to second round of off street drag racing. Only to be lined up
next to the same guy that won the dyno shoot out for the weekend.however wasnt put to sham only being beaten by about 1 1/2 car lengths... had
troubles sat night with a broken clutch cable but was able to sort things out with the help of aussie vee dubbers web site, and some really helpful
local vw enthusiast who let me remove parts from there own vehicle!!!!! unreal..... anyways hear is a couple of pics ...
start of my power skid!! spun a few people out... ha ha
heading down the back straight at symonds plains raceway
just about to line up for off street drags..

also managed to get the bug on the dyno for a run , running a bit rich in the carbs she managed 125hp was happy with that...

cheers .... they guy who owns the dyno was pretty impressed with the motor, and suggested he would be able to help extract a little better tune out of
it.. I was just happy to see it on a dyno as have had the car around 7 years now and has never set foot on a set of rollers. Only the big black dyno!!
ha ha and yeah dave the dyno ?? not sure but there were some pretty serious cars there over the weekend and some of the figures showing on the
computer screen where a little low in my opinion. Not complaining about my sheet though.... Might have to start shopping for some real heads
though!!!!
