I thought wide five stud pattern were allways domed hubcaps. Thanks for letting me know as now the rims will be no good for me to use on a splity.
So i wont be needing them anymore.
Thanks Rick

Does Your type 3 have the flat hubcaps with clips to hold them on Dallas??
I thought they didn't come out till about 1967-68-69??
I know the Aussie 69 type 3s had them along with stainless steel wheel trims...

in between the domed hubcaps and the late clipless hubcaps
there were the flat looking [very flat looking] hubcaps with the clips..
I believe they may have been used on 66-67 German beetles??
and of course the later type 3s...

About US$110 landed for 4 (so US$50 shipping) - add as many item as you want to the cart, put in your shipping address and press recalculate and it
will do it for you. Takes only a few days to arrive. I got a few other things at the same time. The German rear tail light lenses (for notch) look
great!
Cheers

No type 3 had clips Lee. The early, Type 3 5 stud which seem to be called "wide 5" had the hubcaps which clipped inside the bumps on the wheel.
The 4 stud ones are as per any later ones which clip over the bumps.
The ones in the link somewhere above here are as stated for the 5 stud Type 3 rims. The only difference is they say fron 62 - 65 but we had 5 studs
here in OZ for much longer than Europe and USA, maybe it was as late as 68 if that was when the first disk brake/4 stud model was marketed.
