Looking good and i love the idea of using the shipping crate to sit the beetle on it looks like it fits perfectly.

The pallet should be the ride height I'm aiming for, about 15cm, I think 10cm is the minimum so 5cm for ride sag.

Yeah mate, started the chop the other week, I'll need to check the welds on the cut that was done before I got her.
But looking good, will bead blast her soon but so far still only a little rust.
Don't feel so bad about cutting her seeing as she was already trimed.

Wilsons in the back under cover till I get a bit more room in the shed, the volks is a good start to learn a little more about bugs before I start cutting and replacing panels and pillars I'd rather stuff the volks then wilson and the 58 I've got as well.

Front axle arrived the other day, will post some pictures later, also picked up my new mig, should make it easier to tack together the body panels, well easier than tacking with a tig.

The old bug is dead, had to kill it to get the parts and panels I needed, plus it had had lots of badly done work on it.

Well, I've been so busy with work latley I haven't even been able to have a look at anything, but I've got a bit of a break coming up so I'm getting ready.
This is my home shed, did a tidy up and got the floor ready to extract the engine, just have to set up some of my gear and I should at least be a small step closer.

Hi

The panel that covers the plenum on the 73, if its not rusty it might get you something on eBay, rust free can be hard to find. As long as its not too long to post.

Volksrod

Well I finally managed to make a little progress, it's been slow going but that's bound to happen when you have to focus so much on work.

Good afternoon gents, I have been slack with updates of late, I could give every excuse under the sun but you could mainly put it down to life getting in the way and to little time and too many toys.
At the moment I'm setting up a new workshop and moving my cars over to continue working on them, I should be due to order some important parts soon and get back into it.
I'll be sure to post some pictures as soon as I can and update everything.

Cheers

Glen
