Very sad to see.

I thought only Rice-boys got that silly. I tell the young blokes at work: "Never have a sound system more powerful than your engine - leave that to the rice boys."

Technically speaking, a car is a crap place to try to reproduce sound. The volume is too small, you _must_ have too many highly reflective surfaces (if you're going to see out of it) and various noises will interfere with any quality sound you do manage to achieve (at far lower power levels than such a system could produce.) Something like zac_smits has should appease any young guy who wants to damage his hearing (or sound like an italian, no offence intended - you know what I mean, to anyone outside in a 100m radius.) You know; boom boom boom boom. And the sound quality probably isn't noticeably less...

RICE

rice boys, as in rice boy culture, owners of modified japanese 4 cylinder (hot 4s) cars, especially hondas, not neccessarily italians (ive never ever met an italian rice boy:)

He couldn't still be using the standard electrics system ... could he??

What sort of mods to the electrics system would he have had to have done to achieve this ??

If you like music, seriously there is no substitute for a wicked car sound system. When I make music, I burn it to CD and test it in my car for proper sound equalization. The reason is quite simple, the car stereo kicks the aiss, quality wise, of most home stereos. When I burn mp3s it sounds shyt in the car because you hear every frickin blip and hickup but also the wicked background sounds on good quality tracks that you dont normally hear clearly on some home stereos.

Cheers.

I'm going to agree with the Fool on this one.

There is not a lot of imagination in it.

I agree it would sound good but it look shit quite frankly.

I like projects where there has been a lot on thinking around a beer or three hundred before the cutter and wire comes out.

For me - and of course this is onlly a personal opinion but less is more - KISS Keep it simple stupid. I prefer a great sound coming from unknown cavities.

Less chance of some mongrel low life dole thieving oxygen waster slithering into your garage one night your out too.
