How rusty is it mate? Got any pics of the floorpans, etc? I have one of these, shown here: http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=80860&page=1#pid753716

If it's rusty and you do decide to BBQ it, I might still want to give you some cash for bits of it. I'm running a 1500 in motorsport, so spares are always handy, but I particularly need to replace all of the front suspension bits at the moment. So, I might be able to buy the bits you don't need for a BBQ and we'll both be happy!

Is this a "made in Western Germany" 1968?

on the complience plate it says it was made in germany
how else can you tell????
it is pretty rusty, floor has holes and i would assume the panels would have holes to concidering the amount of bubbles.apparently the g/box is really good but i cant confurm this

I believe the Australian ones had the indicator stalk on the right of the column, German ones are on the left. Also, the wipers go the other way, but I would assume that yours is a Geman one.

Given the rusty body, I don't really want to buy the car whole, as I won't need to use the shell or any of the panels, but I am interested in plenty of other parts. Having said that, if you don't want to keep the panels for your BBQ project then I can take the whole car and cut it up myself. I'll send you a text about it.
