Thats just the engine spec I want for my oval one day. (It's always one day)

Is that an oval window grafted on to a big window beetle in the back ground of the last pic?

Weld a set of flanges on that heater box while it is in pieces!

You will thank me next time you see me!!

Not sure about the cam yet, that'll be decided soon. The case was new in wax when a friend got it, had it in her car for a while then got a 1916 so very low milage on the case.

Compression, guess we'll see when the build up happens.

A couple of weeks and the finer detail should be known...

What's with the flanges on the heater boxes? I'm planning on doing something odd with air into them so they won't be set up quite in the normal way but I'm keen to hear about where you added the flanges and what they do...

It's not just an oval welded in Grey, have a look at the profile of the rest of the roof.

Matt

where the header joins the heater box instead of a slip joint you cut them back and weld on a set of flanges.

NO LEAKS to be induced into the cabin. Easy to take on and off

Best mod you will do for the $$

I will try and take a picture of mine.

There was a picture on Club VW from a few years ago that showed the underneat of a car and you could see it perfectly there. Not to sure if it is still there

Maybe Steve C will be able to did it out

yes and no

V Force did them for me. He gets a bunch made up at a time. I would ask the motor builders up there as opposed to the parts shops.

You could always collect some old exhaust systems and cut them off there.
