66front end into 56 oval

well got the engine info thank you very much , now will a front end out of a 66 fit into my 56 ( the one i have has been rebuilt with new brakes etc) so it would save a bit of cost , the whole donor car was $200 with the reco 1600 etc are the brakes better in a 66 than the 56 and do they have a better master cylinder and will it fit

If it's a ball joint type then the axle tubes won't fit the frame head of your early king & link pin floor pan.

You can cut and weld frame heads, but you'd be better off trying to get a BJ / IRS pan, then do it properly!

If the '66 is a king & link pin (I'm not good with the model differences) then it will be a straight swap.

The later beam has a steering damper fitted which may hit on the fuel tank from the OVal,
