Are Rods legal in NSW?
Hey guys, just wondering whether if Volksrods were legal in NSW?
I've never seen one on the road and all the ones on this site seem to be from different states (I may not have dug back into the archives far
enough). What do they have to have to make them legal?
Sorry if this is a repeat post!
Cheers,
Ollie

I think the best answer here is to contact your engineer first.
You'll want to ask him about beam extenders, chop tops, and guards.
Chops tops are legal so long as they meet guidelines in inches and a z-cut and not straight cut. I'm pretty sure that there is a beam extension that
is legal for NSW. Best pm Stoppa on here who had a rod registered in NSW before he moved to WA. He will know some if not most of the legalities (and
loopholes).

I wouldn't hold my breath about a beam extension. Change of wheelbase puts you in a very different category when modifying cars. Been there.
