Advice/opinions on tail lights [pics inside]
Howdy guys
I bought a set of clear style tail lights
i have painted some of the internal surfaces black to make them look a little bit better, this in no way effects the lights
my question is what looks better of the following image
im leaning towards the fogged look... looks closer to stock..ish
the opaque ones actually light up better then the standard

Ditto
looks a bit like the ghetto "smoked" lenses - a light spray of gray paint on the inside

I suppose the pic does not really do it justice... they are not sprayed with grey at all the internal housing is black and the inside of the lens has
been sprayed with translucent-opaque spray its just the angle i guess
colonel what do you mean not flat?

My personal preference is for heavy coloured lenses, being more colour, not just tinted.
So proper amber indicator and dark red tail for me, instead of faded, tinted, yellow or clear.

I prefer the clear type..
but then again I really like AMBER Blinker Lenses...
at least Yours are legal... with red reflectors....
I don't mind altezza type tail lamps with amber and red lights...

Yes... Me too..
I bought a pair of mexican lenses for My beetle years ago..
lasted about 15 months... never in the sun...
but the AMBER faded away to nothing...
I painted the insides with model see thru paint...
then they cracked....??
the red... was red paint... inside..??
were very difficult to fit the metal dividers into...
