What a night :(
Got up 0430, went to work and the car was missing a little as I drove in. At 1800 things were a little quit so had a quick look. One carb was very
difficult to tune so removed it and rebuilt it by 1845. Left work 1900 and the car stalled just down the road. OK so checked things out again. This
time the distributor button had burnt the top of the rotor. Changed caps and car ran ok.twenty minutes later and half way home the trouble started.
Engine miss firing and flooding. Rebuilt carb again and was able to get a little further before the distributor went kput. Pulled distributor and
stripped it down. Top plate moving too easily. Fixed that then saw the pertonics unit had a wire bare at the base, perhaps arcing out. Not much for it
but t repair as best as I can and try for home. Stripped one of the screws holding the plate in place. By this time it's 2100 and so rang the wife to
pick me up so I can get the 009 I had "filed" at home. By 2240 we headed back to the car. Changed over distributor and car runs ok now. Get home at
2350. Get up at 0430 again for work. Bloody stupid cars. Now I need to find Type 3 distributor and buy a new electronic points set. Oh what fun to be

Lol I want over a big drop where they are doing roadwork's and the car died. Freaking peak hour and I am blocking the one lane. Lucky for me it
started before the lights changed. did notice that the motor seemed to be very hot compared to normal. I did do the valve gap in a hurry about a week
ago, perhaps I stuffed one up.
