Good way to start. Yup Iris has a thing for Jasper obviously because she flashed her lights at him one night.
We don't know how but it happened. Take the hint Jasper, she winked at you!!!!!

I had a whole floorpan drop onto my right hand index finger...
Metal of the bottom of the rear shock mount landed on it, pancaked it between the floor pan and the garage floor.
6 hrs later waiting in the hospital i recieved my first set of stitches, 7 in total. Wasn't a cut, but a tear :). It only ripped the whole bottom flesh from the last knuckle upwards off the bone.
I have neva been able to play the guitar the same way again...

Got a metal splinter in the eye from the bug, another whole afternoon/evening at the hospital they ended up scratching it out of my eye with an insulin needle. Was fun, was surrounded by two beautiful, young female interns doing the work on me. It was their first go at such a task... They were very gentle lol.

I only got bad stories thus far haha. :tu: I can keep going :)...
95% of all scars on my body are from that vw

One day my father and i were driving clemy around the country side, she was going great,as we descended down a hill towards a dip i backed off the accelerator, at that same time she did not slow down but seemed to speed up,i showed my dad that my foot was not on the accelerator and we looked both looked at each other like they do in Herbie.LOL.I braked and tapped the accelerator and said "Woo up old girl" and she slowed down.It turns out, there was heaps of dirt in the spring back mechanism in the accelerator part, which was stopping it from springing back.I dont think she actually sped up but we both now tell that story of the day "she just wanted a bit more fun down that hill.Of coarse they have personalities.LOL LOL

A few years ago an old guy came into my workshop,he owned a beetle and a high top kombi and he wanted me to look after them for him. Before I could drive the beetle I had to read the "instructions for driving Bertie"in the door pocket.Over the years we became good friends and and his wife often came in when they came to town, she would go shopping and we would save the world over a cup or two of coffee. When he passed on it was very hard. But over the years Bertie had his own little personality and now will go to a new home in Sydney.I will miss them both.

Ok so I was at school last year and I decided that instead of doing art I woudl drive my bug full of girls down to the local IGA in stead... as I start climbing the first hill my dear beetle decided it would be cool and give us some 'good vibrations' AKA some intense shudderinging until I had to slow right down, everyone was then doubting the total safeness of my ride :(

BUT This was the first of many occassions where it would only shudder when I had a car with women in it  much to the embarrassment of me..

Turns out later on I find its the steering damper needed tightening as well as the wheels balanced and aligned... You live and you learn haha.

But secretly I reckon twas my bug just being a bit of a pimp lmao

When my Dad came down to inspect my first car (Ava my blue 67 beetle) He was picking on her, This wasn't right and that wasn't right, this needed to be fixed.

Anyway he was looking under the bonnet and picking on something and Avas' bonnet lid SLAMMED down on his head!!!!!

The bonnet has never fallen before or after that,

I think she was over of being picked on LOL

Another time I had Ava on my mind. I had to get to work and I jumped in Iris and said "Come on Ava, lets go... Oops.."
Then Iris... who starts EVERY TIME, would not start. The wheel lock went on, and she would not start.
I tried to apologize and talk to her, ask her to forgive me and promised not to call her Ava ever again... Nothing...

So I got upset and told her "Fine! Be like that I'll Drive Ava... She ALWAYS starts. I never have ANY problems with HER"

Turned the key... Started straight up and idled beautifully....

Sometimes being nice doesn't help....

Now Ava's gone, Little Iris is lonely, and is mucking up. She was COMPLETELY FINE before Ava left and now she's stalling and not idling and not taking off some times.
But when she was out with Jasper on Sunday, She was FINE. No problem whatsoever, and then monday she went back to mucking up.

Poor little thing is lonely....
